Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Zappfresh Chicken Curry Cut

  • 120 gms Ghee

  • 100 gms Onions

  • 50 gms Ginger Paste

  • 50 gms Garlic Paste

  • 8 nos Green Chilies

  • 5 gms Turmeric

  • 30 gms Peanuts

  • 10 gms Sesame Seeds

  • 10 gms Sunflower Seeds

  • 50 gms Coconut

  • 150 gms Yoghurt

  • 2 Tbs. (As per taste) Salt

  • 10 gms Garam Masala

  • 30 ml Lemon Juice

  • 20 gms Coriander

  • 20 gms Mint

  • 50 gms Cashewnuts

  • 1 to deep fry Groundnut Oil

Murgh Nizami, also known as Chicken Nizami is a mild, rich, creamy chicken dish from the land of Nizams. PREPARATION: 

THE CHICKEN: Unwrap the soft and succulent Zappfresh Chicken Curry Cut

THE VEGETABLES: Peel, wash and chop the onions. Remove stems, wash, slit, deseed and chop the green chilies. Clean, wash and chop coriander and mint.

THE NUTS AND SEEDS: Pound peanut, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds with a pestle. Remove the brown skin and grate the coconut. Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry cashew nuts until golden brown.

THE YOGHURT: Whisk in a bowl

 

COOKING:

Heat ghee in a handi, add onions and saute over medium heat until golden brown. Add the ginger and garlic pastes, stir for a minute, add green chilies and turmeric, stir. Then add the pounded nuts and seeds, and grated coconuts, stir for a minute, add yogurt and bhunno* until the fat leaves the masala. Now add chicken, stir, add water (approx 400ml), bring to a boil, simmer until tender. Adjust the seasoning. Sprinkle garam masala, lemon juice, coriander, mint, and cashew nuts, stir.

 

TO SERVE: 

Remove to a dish and serve with any Indian bread of your choice.
